Role Purpose

  • Execute detailed cost audit and verification activities for assigned project clusters, supporting the Cost Control Manager by tracking line item variances, cross checking claims, and ensuring data integrity across pre award and post contract FFC tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre Award Verification & Estimating Audit: Conduct detailed line by line normalization and technical audits of contractor bids against PTE.
  • Analyze tender breakdowns to identify commercial anomalies, front loading risks, unbalanced unit rates, or under priced preliminaries.
  • Verify pre contract documentation and BOQ are accurately mapped to approved CBS and WBS.
  • Post Contract FFC Tracking & Variance Analysis: Maintain and continuously update project's FFC ledger.
  • Perform rigorous monthly variance analysis comparing approved budgets against FFC.
  • Track and maintain live potential variation Trend Log, quantify and validate cost impact of proposed changes.
  • Reporting, Documentation & Systems Compliance: Maintain precise documentation for cost baseline adjustments, contingency allocations, approved variations, and commercial decisions.
  • Provide clean, verified financial data to central reporting system for executive dashboards.
  • Verify project teams adhere to cost control governance frameworks and reporting timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 6 9 years of project cost control, quantity surveying, or commercial management experience within UAE real estate, developer, or construction sector.
  • Strong proficiency in quantity take off and measurement software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modelling and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems, cost management platforms, and project financial databases.
  • Strong understanding of cost reporting structures, FFC methodologies, and commercial controls.

Core Competency

  • Highly detail oriented with strong focus on compliance, data accuracy, and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify cost tracking gaps, reporting discrepancies, and commercial risks.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence to challenge inconsistencies and escalate findings.
