About the Role
Saipem is seeking a Senior Cost Control Engineer for a fixed-term contract in Abu Dhabi. The role involves developing cost control systems, monitoring project financial performance, and providing forecasts.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and cost control systems aligned with project and contractual requirements
- Monitor project costs, revenues, and progress, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting (Estimates at Completion)
- Identify deviations from the Revised Control Budget and promptly communicate risks, trends, and corrective actions to project management
- Prepare and maintain key project reports, including Cost Control Reports, Project Status Reports, and Cash Flow forecasts
- Support procurement, invoicing, and contract change/claim processes by analyzing cost impacts and ensuring alignment with project controls
- Track earned value, accruals, and cost performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to risk management by supporting cost related analysis of risks and opportunities
- Assist in project close out activities, including cost reporting and financial reconciliation
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, project financial management, and reporting
- Understanding of accounting principles (IAS/IFRS) and project cost structures (WBS/CBS)
- Experience with project control systems, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value analysis
- Ability to analyze cost deviations, manage forecasts, and support decision making
- Knowledge of contract management, change management, and project risk evaluation
- Fluency in business English, both oral and written
- Cost control knowledge of EPCI Project, preferably offshore
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite Package

Purpose of the position
- Ensure effective project cost control by establishing cost structures, monitoring financial performance, and providing accurate forecasts and analysis to support project delivery within the approved budget.
