The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

To lead frontend development initiatives across the Government Digital Products portfolio by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality user interfaces and digital experiences. The role is responsible for supporting the growing demand across multiple products, ensuring sustainable frontend delivery capabilities, improving customer experience, reducing delivery dependencies, and enabling the timely implementation of product enhancements that align with business objectives and user needs.

Frontend Architecture & Development

Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and responsive frontend applications.

Establish frontend development standards, frameworks, and best practices.

Ensure application architectures support performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.

Drive technical consistency across frontend solutions and digital products.

User Interface & User Experience Development

Develop intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and digital platforms.

Design reusable UI components, patterns, and interaction models aligned with enterprise design standards.

Ensure user interfaces provide a consistent user experience across products and platforms.

Collaborate with design teams to enhance usability and customer satisfaction.

Product Enhancement & Feature Delivery

Lead frontend delivery activities supporting new product features and enhancements.

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Ensure timely implementation of frontend requirements within agreed delivery plans.

Support product evolution through continuous enhancement initiatives.

Frontend Quality & Testing

Support the implementation of quality assurance practices throughout the frontend development lifecycle.

Conduct code reviews, testing validation, and defect resolution activities.

Ensure developed solutions meet usability, accessibility, security, and performance requirements.

Support user acceptance testing and production readiness activities.

Application Performance Optimization

Monitor and optimize frontend application performance across products and platforms.

Identify bottlenecks affecting user experience and system responsiveness.

Implement performance improvements that enhance application efficiency and usability.

Ensure frontend solutions meet scalability and operational expectations.

Technical Integration & Collaboration

Collaborate with backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver integrated digital solutions.

Support API integrations, data exchange requirements, and application interoperability.

Work closely with technical teams to resolve complex implementation challenges.

Ensure seamless coordination throughout the software development lifecycle.

Frontend Standards & Capability Development

Define and maintain frontend development standards, design guidelines, and technical documentation.

Promote adoption of modern development frameworks, tools, and technologies.

Support capability development through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical guidance.

Contribute to building sustainable frontend development practices across the function.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Identify opportunities to improve frontend development processes, tools, and delivery approaches.

Evaluate new technologies and recommend suitable improvements to existing solutions.

Support innovation initiatives that enhance digital customer experiences.

Drive continuous improvement activities that strengthen productivity and delivery effectiveness.

Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Information Security

Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

6–8 years of experience in Frontend Development, Web Application Development, Digital Products, or related domains.
