The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

To support the implementation and operation of Data Management practices across the organization by contributing to data quality initiatives, metadata management, data catalog maintenance, and data governance activities. The role is responsible for improving data accuracy, accessibility, discoverability, and compliance while supporting business stakeholders in utilizing trusted and well-governed data assets that align with organizational data privacy and governance requirements.

Data Quality Management

Support the implementation of data quality standards, controls, and monitoring mechanisms.

Perform data quality assessments and identify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and data integrity issues.

Assist in tracking and resolving data quality findings across enterprise data assets.

Monitor data quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Catalog Management

Maintain and enrich enterprise data catalog information to improve data discoverability.

Ensure business and technical metadata are accurately documented and kept up to date.

Support classification and organization of enterprise data assets within approved cataloging frameworks.

Promote adoption and effective utilization of data catalog capabilities.

Metadata Management

Support the collection, maintenance, and governance of metadata across enterprise systems.

Ensure metadata standards and documentation requirements are consistently applied.

Identify metadata gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data documentation quality.

Maintain metadata repositories and support metadata governance initiatives.

Data Governance Compliance

Support implementation of data governance standards, policies, and control requirements.

Assist in monitoring compliance with approved data management and governance practices.

Collaborate with stakeholders to address governance findings and improvement opportunities.

Support governance reporting and compliance monitoring activities.

Data Documentation & Standards

Develop and maintain documentation related to data definitions, data lineage, business glossaries, and data assets.

Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Support standardization initiatives that improve consistency across data domains.

Maintain data management records and reference materials.

Data Analysis & Validation

Analyze data sets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities related to data management objectives.

Perform validation activities to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Support investigation and resolution of data-related issues.

Contribute analytical insights that improve enterprise data reliability.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Data Stewardship Support

Collaborate with business and technology teams to support data management initiatives.

Assist data owners, stewards, and stakeholders in applying data management standards.

Support awareness and adoption of data governance practices across the organization.

Facilitate communication related to data quality, metadata, and governance requirements.

Data Management Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance data management processes, tools, and practices.

Support implementation of initiatives that improve data accessibility, usability, and governance maturity.

Participate in assessments, reviews, and enhancement programs related to data management.

Contribute to building a data-driven culture through continuous improvement activities.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Information Security

Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

4–6 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Quality, Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Management, or related disciplines.
