Required:
Associate degree in a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
5 years of work experience in civil engineering, construction, or other closely related fields.
Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
May be required to work overtime depending on the city’s needs.
Must be comfortable working and or driving in inclement weather conditions.
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience in public/municipal sector.
American Concrete Institute certifications.
Previous materials testing experience.
MS4 compliance & enforcement certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for prolonged periods. The employee is regularly required to exercise mental visual concentration, listen, talk, stand, reach, twist, and demonstrate manual dexterity. The employee is required to focus attention on tasks without losing concentration or becoming distracted by surrounding activities and interruptions. The employee is also required to kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis. The employee may need to climb ladders, work in Confined Spaces, use power equipment/tools that produce vibration and noise, and work in Work Zones with moderate to heavy traffic. The employee may need to work in all outside weather conditions near moving equipment in areas with elevated noise levels and where chemicals may be utilized. Work is performed in both office and field settings.
