Role overview
A defence organisation in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Combat Systems Installation Engineer for complex naval vessel programmes.
The role takes combat and mission systems from engineering through onboard installation, integration, setting-to-work, commissioning, and final acceptance.
The role
- Lead and coordinate installation of combat and mission systems aboard naval vessels.
- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, interface requirements, and OEM standards.
- Coordinate interfaces between combat, ship, electrical, cabling, and platform systems.
- Work with weapons, radar, sensors, communications, navigation, EW, and CMS equipment.
- Support onboard inspections, troubleshooting, setting-to-work, and systems integration.
- Resolve installation and interface issues during vessel construction.
- Support FAT, HAT, SAT, commissioning, and sea trials.
- Liaise with shipyard teams, OEMs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Drive systems through technical acceptance and vessel delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Systems, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant naval combat systems installation or integration experience.
