Role Overview
The client is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for high-traffic applications.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions meeting performance and reliability requirements.
Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and allows work from anywhere.
Contract and Payout
- The position is contract-based.
- The payout is $20 to $50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize backend services using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Implement and maintain APIs, databases, and microservices architecture.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, bugs, and system failures.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or similar web service technologies.
- Strong understanding of database design, SQL, and NoSQL systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
