Role overview
Join a $9M-backed AI company building a product for travel, dining, experiences, and other personal requests.
Build a new product from scratch while working directly with the CTO and founders.
The role offers substantial technical ownership over architecture and production delivery.
What you will be doing
- Architect and build the backend from the ground up.
- Take ideas from 0-to-1 through architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
- Build high-performance APIs, background workers, data pipelines, and third-party integrations.
- Design and ship AI agent workflows involving LLM orchestration, tool calling, and retrieval.
- Solve problems involving latency, reliability, observability, cost, and model performance.
- Make architecture, infrastructure, and technical trade-off decisions.
- Ship to real users, learn from production issues, and improve the product.
What the employer is looking for
- Excellent software engineering and computer science fundamentals.
- Strong production experience with Python and backend/API engineering.
- Experience building and shipping 0-to-1 products or significant greenfield systems.
