Deloitte is seeking a Senior for its Audit & Assurance team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering high-quality audit services, building trust with stakeholders, and leading audit engagements.

Responsibilities
- Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by seeking to understand their service level expectations
- Deliver high quality services by demonstrating practical awareness of regulation and risk management on business processes and controls
- Take responsibility for understanding key statistics and industry matters about entity before engagement begins
- Adapt template referral instructions to clearly outline scope of procedures to be performed
- Liaise effectively with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence in delivery of relevant tasks
- Assist in tracking deliverables from component auditors and understand relevance and importance
- Appropriately link risks, controls, procedures and findings from allocated sections across the EMS file on a timely basis
- Articulate audit quality milestones and how teams demonstrate completeness of milestones
- Understand rationale behind timings of audit plan and challenge whether work can be performed earlier
- Prepare documentation by anticipating questions reviewers may ask and distinguish accounting judgements from auditing judgements
- Develop relationships beyond finance function to better understand entity's business and apply professional skepticism
- Have practical awareness of risks around engagement lifecycle and regulatory environment
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or related field; graduate degree desired
- 4+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with Big Audit Firms
- International accounting qualification: CA, ACCA, or CPA (preferably CA)
- Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing); preference for bilingual Arabic/English
- Ability to supervise staff, inspect client financial records, compile and analyze data, prepare detailed audit reports
- Demonstrate ability to plan and manage engagements and people along with ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines
