Strategy

  • Supports development and updating of talent management framework and Talent Review Strategy
  • Supports development of departmental strategy for talent planning and succession
  • Supports development of methodologies for assessment and development centres
  • Proposes section goals, initiatives, and KPIs

Policies and Procedures

  • Implements section policies, procedures, and processes
  • Ensures effective communication of departmental policies
  • Supports design and delivery of content and communication materials
  • Regularly reviews and recommends policy revisions
  • Ensures compliance with standards and processes

Processes

  • Assists in managing projects including scoping, implementation, and monitoring
  • Participates in development needs analysis
  • Tracks and reports budget expenditure
  • Supports Talent Review, Talent Planning, Succession Planning, and IDP processes
  • Supports development of talent pools
  • Provides input on internal talent for vacancies
  • Co facilitates talent review discussions
  • Identifies training and development needs
  • Compiles talent information and supports business leaders
  • Reviews Individual Development Plans
  • Tracks progress of development plans

Coordination

  • Coordinates with Human Capital Business Partners on talent activities
  • Coordinates development interventions including on the job learning, mentoring, coaching

Coaching and Training

  • Guides individual and group coaching sessions
  • Co designs and develops training materials
  • Conducts awareness sessions and provides one on one coaching

Reporting

  • Prepares reports for Senior Management, ExCo, and HCC
  • Reports on status of talent management programs
  • Produces customized reports

Control and Quality

  • Ensures quality and effectiveness of Individual Development Plans
  • Compiles talent information for Talent Review discussions

Budget Control

  • Tracks expenditure against budget
  • Coordinates budget allocation

Other Responsibilities

  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Authority / Decision Making

  • Works within approved policies
  • Provides regular updates to manager
  • Reviews action plans and recommends improvements
  • Reviews development plans
  • Maintains confidentiality
