About the Role
BDO UAE is seeking a Senior Associate for Audit & Assurance to lead and perform external audits, prepare financial statements, and manage audit engagements. The role requires a CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification with 2+ years of post-qualification experience in auditing.

Responsibilities
- Lead and perform external audit of clients as per BDO audit methodology and ensuring a qualitative documentation
- Assist the client in preparation or review of financial statements as per IFRS
- Responsible for overall project management of the audit engagement
- Identify and discuss audit & accounting issues on a timely basis with the audit engagement team and the client
- Prepare reports and communicate findings and recommendations to the client
- Follow the evolution of the client’s needs, commercial focus and business objectives
- Provide exceptional client service by understanding the client's requirement in detail and ensuring timely delivery
- Ensure continuous professional development by updating oneself on local regulations, IFRS, and audit methodology
Requirements
- CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent is must
- 2+ years of post qualification experience in auditing, with leading professional services firms or large multinational organizations
- Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
- Successful record of engagement management
- Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing)

Job Description
- Responsible to lead and perform external audit of clients as per BDO audit methodology and ensuring a qualitative documentation.
- Responsible to assist the client in preparation or review of financial statements of the allocated assignments as per IFRS.
- Responsible for the overall project management of the audit engagement such as preparation of project plan, timely engagement with client and effective turnaround of audit deliverables.
- Identify and discuss audit & accounting issues on a timely basis with the audit engagement team and the client along with proposing proper resolution of these matters.
- Prepare reports and communicate findings and recommendations to the client and agree with them.
- Follow the evolution of the client’s needs, commercial focus and business objectives, and timely anticipate issues and questions.
- Provide exceptional client service by understanding the client's requirement in detail and ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure continuous professional development by updating oneself on local regulations, IFRS, any changes to audit methodology etc.
Qualification & Key Attributes
- CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent is must.
- 2+ years of post qualification experience in auditing, with leading professional services firms or large multinational organizations and systems.
- Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
- Successful record of engagement management.
- Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing).
