Role overview
A growing FinTech is hiring a Senior Android Engineer for an established mobile engineering team.
The engineer will work on a modern customer-facing banking app with end-to-end ownership.
The role emphasizes leadership, ownership, collaboration, and technical improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop the banking app using modern Android development practices with Kotlin and Jetpack.
- Work with CI/CD, Google Play releases, testing, and observability.
- Perform root-cause analysis and solve production problems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and the wider business.
- Take ownership of technical improvements and help make effective decisions.
- Mentor other engineers and help bring the team together.
About you
- Strong commercial Android and Kotlin experience.
- Good understanding of Kotlin concurrency.
- A proactive ownership mindset rather than simply completing tickets.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to mentor, collaborate, and challenge ideas.
- Interest in how artificial intelligence can improve modern software engineering.
