Role overview
Waracle is seeking a Senior Developer specialising in Android mobile development.
The role involves building, developing, and deploying high-performance Android components and services.
The position supports digital technology consultancy and client IT transformation projects.
Workplace
- This is a hybrid role with two days per week spent in the London office or on client site.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end features and small subsystems.
- Optimise app performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.
- Explain technical trade-offs and present demos to clients and stakeholders.
- Lead features or workstreams and mentor junior colleagues.
- Represent Waracle in interviews and recruitment panels.
- Participate in ad-hoc duties as required by management.
Required expertise
- Exceptional proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, core threading, offline storage, and performance tuning.
