About the Role
Sunoco LP (formerly Parkland Corporation) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Supply and Trading team. - Develop and prepare enhanced management reporting, analysis and key metrics for Supply & Trading Leadership Team
- Collaborate with Controllership and Front Office teams to develop forecasts and scenario analysis
- Support reporting package(s) with executive level explanations of operational results and business trends
- Prepare consolidated monthly reporting and associated commentary
- Develop and prepare supplemental reporting to track progress of key initiatives
- Assist in developing detailed presentation of budget assumptions and key business drivers for Senior Leadership Team
- Support consolidation and presentation of financial plans for Supply and Trading teams
- Pro actively work with Controlling and Operations teams to understand business and key performance drivers
- Prepare lookbacks to measure forecast accuracy and understand variances
- Identify opportunities to revamp and streamline processes
- Model business and 'what if' scenarios to support decision making
- Support business development activities and integration of acquisitions
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, FPAC, CFA) strongly preferred
- 7+ years of relevant, progressive experience in a financial or business analyst role
- Strong knowledge of Oracle EPM, Power BI, Thinkcell, SAP, JDE and Great Plains considered an asset
- Advanced financial modelling, Excel and PowerPoint skills including ability to manipulate large volumes of data
- Ability to develop relationships across departments and cultivate a collaborative approach to decision making
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Keen interest in understanding key business drivers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and work collaboratively
- Highly motivated self starter with ability to multi task in fast paced environment

The Opportunity
- Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, this role is a key member of the Supply and Trading Team.
- The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting and improving financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
- They will work closely with divisional teams to gain deep understanding of their business and information needs.
Monthly / Quarterly Reporting
- Develop and prepare enhanced management reporting, analysis and key metrics for Supply & Trading Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with Controllership and Front Office teams to develop forecasts and scenario analysis.
- Support reporting package(s) with executive level explanations of operational results and business trends.
- Prepare consolidated monthly reporting and associated commentary.
- Develop and prepare supplemental reporting to track progress of key initiatives.
Annual Budgeting Process
- Collaborate with Controllership and Front Office teams to develop annual budget.
- Assist in developing detailed presentation of budget assumptions and key business drivers for Senior Leadership Team.
Financial Planning
- Support consolidation and presentation of financial plans for Supply and Trading teams.
- Pro actively work with Controlling and Operations teams to understand business and key performance drivers.
- Prepare lookbacks to measure forecast accuracy and understand variances.
- Identify opportunities to revamp and streamline processes.
- Develop/update forward looking reports and analysis.
Decision Support and Partnering
- Model business and 'what if' scenarios to support decision making.
- Collaborate with Controlling and Operations teams to solve adhoc issues.
- Support business development activities and integration of acquisitions.
Education
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
