Job Overview

  • This Senior Analyst, Finance role supports the T&O portfolio with a focus on expense management, financial reporting, and governance.
  • The position is responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and presenting financial results to senior stakeholders.
  • Offering broad exposure and cross functional engagement, this opportunity is well suited to an experienced finance professional with strong technical skills and executive presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidates, analyzes, and reports on the financial performance of the business/group to support month , quarter , and year end closing processes.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives; includes tracking metrics and milestones.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Breaks down strategic problems and analyses data to provide accounting insights and recommendations.
  • Identifies opportunities for alignment with accounting/finance processes and other operational processes.
  • Acts as point of escalation on operational matters and matters falling outside of policy.
  • Analyzes financial results to support financial period closing and reporting processes.
  • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Supports the preparation of journal entries, monthly/quarterly reporting packages and financial statements.
  • Provides information and supports the process for internal and external audits.
  • Reviews supporting documentation, escalating areas of concern.
  • Coordinates and executes specific activities for the implementation of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Typically between 4 6 years of relevant experience and post secondary degree in related field of study or equivalent.
  • Completed or near completion of an accounting designation.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills In depth.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills In depth.
  • Influence skills In depth.
  • Data driven decision making In depth.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: CAD 61,600.00 CAD 113,900.00
  • Pay Type: Salaried
  • Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
  • Total compensation package may include performance based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks.
