About the Role
Canadian Tire Corporation is looking for a Senior Analyst, Enterprise Financial Planning to support the Sport Chek banner in Calgary. You will create and manage financial plans, analyze data, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Support Merchandise Financial Plan: Assisting in the creation and management of the Annual Merchandise Financial Plan (MFP)
- Reconciliation: Supporting reconciliation of top down vs bottom up MFPs by working closely with banner planning functions
- Performance Tracking: Monitoring monthly sales/margin performance against plans and forecasts; identifying trends
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conducting detailed financial analysis and reporting on key performance metrics
- Category & Channel Analysis: Supporting category prioritization, channel opportunities analysis, objectives setting, and resource allocation through detailed financial modeling
Requirements
- Post secondary university education, preferably in business or finance
- 3+ years’ experience in a financial analysis role within a retail organization
- Strong understanding of retail Math
- Intermediate or advanced level Excel skills
- Proven track record of supporting cross functional projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and insightful, with strong problem solving abilities
- Detail oriented, ensuring accuracy in financial analysis and reporting

What You’ll Do

- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conducting detailed financial analysis and reporting on key performance metrics.
- Category & Channel Analysis: Supporting category prioritization, channel opportunities analysis, objectives setting, and resource allocation through detailed financial modeling.
What You Bring
- Post secondary university education, preferably in business or finance
- 3+ years’ experience in a financial analysis role within a retail organization with a strong understanding of retail Math
- Background using Excel at an intermediate or advanced level using analytics to turn data into recommendations and actionable insights.
- Proven track record of supporting cross functional projects and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and insightful, with strong problem solving abilities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data.
- Detail oriented, ensuring accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and provide solutions before issues arise.
- Strong communicators, capable of presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborative team players, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward.

Broadband Salary Range
- CAD 64,000 – CAD 106,000 CAD.
- Our typical hiring range is between CAD 70,000 and CAD 85,000 CAD.
