Position Overview

  • Corporate accounting plays an essential role in producing reliable, relevant and compliant financial information.
  • The Senior Analyst actively participates in the preparation and analysis of the Bank and its subsidiaries' financial information.
  • The holder contributes to the preparation of consolidated financial statements and quarterly and annual financial disclosures.
  • This position is an excellent opportunity to develop in depth expertise in financial reporting in a complex and evolving banking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and review certain accounting entries.
  • Participate in the accounting and analysis of loan losses and related provisions (IFRS 9).
  • Ensure the accounting of certain other activities related to financial instruments.
  • Prepare or revise financial statements for subsidiaries.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Bank's quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare and review notes to financial statements and other financial disclosures.
  • Perform the necessary analyses and reconciliations to support the published information.
  • Collaborate with external auditors on quarterly and annual audits.
  • Prepare documentation and analyses required to support audit processes.
  • Participate in maintaining a rigorous financial control environment.
  • Contribute to the optimization and documentation of financial information production processes.
  • Act as a resource person for internal partners on accounting matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA professional designation.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in external audit, financial accounting or financial reporting.
  • Experience in the financial services or banking sector is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and banking activities, an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English required.
