Senior Analyst - Accounting Operations

Job Summary

Workplace

• This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office.

Core Accountabilities

• Process cash receipts, fiduciary fund disbursements, and reconciliations while responding to resulting queries.
• Support cash-processing and fiduciary targets using KPIs from the CSS Dashboard and other system tools.
• Apply fiduciary systems, processes, policies, and procedures in daily work.
• Prepare, record, and report customer billing transactions from the broker ledger.
• Respond to stakeholder requests and escalate issues appropriately.
• Develop client and market relationships and provide value-added service.
• Maintain technical reinsurance knowledge to manage assigned client or market portfolios.
• Work with Compliance, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to resolve sensitive client issues.

Technical Development

• Lead or participate in knowledge-sharing forums across onshore and offshore locations.
• Collaborate on complex or contentious reinsurance developments.
• Provide training, mentoring, and guidance on reinsurance service processing.
• Lead authorization, sign-off, and approvals for technical reports and documentation.
• Participate in business continuity and business impact analysis, including mitigating plans.
• Participate in system release testing and report bugs.
• Mentor and train team members to support technical and professional growth.

Financial Performance

• Lead financial KPI reviews covering cash, funding, income exposure, receivables, retentions, and claims collections.
• Improve working capital and keep bad debt provisioning below the existing provision.
• Manage complex accounts or portfolios with account notes and continuity documentation.
• Lead financial delivery for assigned teams, business units, or entities and provide dashboards and metrics.
• Drive legacy projects across regions to minimize balances aged over 90 days.

Risk and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure team compliance with mandates.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance broking operations or finance.
• Experience in reinsurance accounting in the London, Asian, or US market.
• Experience in reinsurance broking accounts or a fiduciary function.
• Experience coaching or mentoring technical experts.
• In-depth knowledge of reinsurance concepts, market systems, business trends, and financial or regulatory impacts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with stakeholders across CSS teams.
• Experience influencing others indirectly and handling multiple client requests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful fiduciary account management experience.
• Client-facing or market-facing experience.
• CII certification or postgraduate insurance coursework.
• Understanding of RPA or other process enhancement tools.
• Strong team management, relationship, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
