Job Summary
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Fiduciary team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia SAUDI NATIONALS ONLY.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We’re seeking a Lead Specialist – Fiduciary who will have an opportunity to understand the end-to-end lifecycle of Re-insurance Broking. This is a place to enhance your knowledge and leadership skills, with an immense opportunity to lead Change Management initiatives as teams are undergoing system/process migration.
Within the first 30 days, we expect you to gain in-depth knowledge of the service you would oversee and understand the role requirements. Within 60 days, attain competency and have a good understanding of process and systems. Within 90 days, be able to technically lead the team and be a single point of contact for all technical escalations and process improvements. Lead discussions and build relationships with Clients / Re-insurers / Business units as well as Placing brokers.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accountabilities
Process cash receipts and disbursement of fiduciary funds and reconciliations, responding to resulting queries
Support personal cash processing and fiduciary targets, including the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to facilitate reporting from the CSS Dashboard and other system tools
Leverage in-depth knowledge of fiduciary systems, processes, policies, and procedures in day-to-day work
Prepare, record, and report customer billing transactions emanating from broker ledger
Respond to requests from various stakeholders and appropriately escalate issues
Develop strong client/market relationships, providing value-added service
Maintain technical reinsurance knowledge and skills to effectively manage and service assigned client and/or market portfolio
Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Compliance, Finance) to resolve sensitive client issues
Technical Development
Lead/participate in knowledge sharing forums across onshore/offshore locations
Collaborate with peers on complex or contentious reinsurance developments; support and provide training, mentoring, and guidance within the team/department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing
Provide insights into complex technical terminology and clarify procedures
Lead authorization/sign-off and approvals on technical reports and documentation
Actively take part in Business Continuity and Business Impact Analysis, including a detailed mitigating plan
Participate in System Release Testing (enhancement, regression) and report bugs
Mentor and train team members to grow technically and professionally within the organisation
Financial Performance
Lead various Financial KPI reviews (Cash, Funding, Income Exposure, Receivables, Retentions, Claims Collections, etc.) to drive continuous improvement and identify areas for improvement
Ensure Working Capital improvement and Bad Debt provisioning requirement well below the existing provision
Drive complex account/portfolio with proper account notes/memos highlighting servicing methodology and key concepts/protocols followed for business continuity
Lead financial delivery for the team/BU/entities assigned and provide operations dashboard and metrics to show trends, figures, and business insight
Drive legacy projects across regions, ensuring minimal/zero balances appearing above 90+ days ageing
Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance adherence to internal and external regulators guidelines
Participate in internal/external audits at team level and ensure team adherence to various compliance mandates
Knowledge and Skills (Role Expectations)
Experience of Re-Insurance Accounting in London Market, Asian market, OR US Market
Act as a mentor and coach to develop colleagues; build passion and commitment towards team, department, and organisational goals

Know-how of markets/legislations/regulators/procedures governing our business

Proven track record with delivery of change (including process and people impacts) and process improvement to enhance provision of service
Act as a role model by example, attitude, and consistent behavior committed to a “can do” culture
Graduate (Commerce, Banking & Insurance, and Finance preferable)
Required Qualifications / Experience (What you need to have)
3-5 years of experience in insurance / re-insurance broking in the operations / finance areas
Sadui Nationals ONLY.
Experience coaching/mentoring technical experts
In-depth knowledge of reinsurance concepts, market systems, general business trends, and financial/regulatory impacts on the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Experience in Re-Insurance Broking Accounts / Fiduciary function
Experience working with stakeholders across all CSS teams (claims, client teams, RM, etc.)
Experience influencing others indirectly to accomplish a goal
Experience handling multiple client requests
Preferred Qualifications (What makes you stand out)
Track record of successful fiduciary account management
Client and/or market facing experience
CII certification
Post-Graduation/Certificate Courses in Insurance
Adaptable communicator, facilitator, influencer, and problem solver
Excellent team management skills
Strong relationship skills; proven ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team
Ability to multi-task and prioritize time effectively
Understanding of RPA / various process enhancement tools
