Senior Accountant!
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Americas accounting function and play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence within a publicly traded company.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be a key contributor to the month-end close process, equity accounting activities, and the ongoing enhancement of our internal control environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of important accounting processes while partnering with colleagues across finance and the broader business.
In addition to hands-on accounting responsibilities, you will provide functional guidance to staff accountants, help drive process improvements, and contribute to the scalability and efficiency of our accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making meaningful improvements in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries across various accounting areas in support of the monthly close process
- Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items
- Support a fast-paced close process, including variance analysis, flux explanations, and presentation of financial results in monthly accounting close meetings
- Maintain ownership of assigned areas of the general ledger, ensuring accounting is in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Own the end-to-end equity accounting process, including coordination with external administrators and advisors
- Prepare and review stock-based compensation accounting, entries, and supporting schedules
- Perform technical accounting research and support the preparation of accounting memos for complex or non-routine transactions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes, including close optimization, automation opportunities, and standardization
- Maintain and enhance documentation of accounting processes and procedures
