Job Purpose
Join Burberry Business Services in Leeds as an RTR Senior Accountant.
Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting across the Americas region.
Own key accounting activities, strengthen financial controls, and build trusted partnerships with regional and Group Finance stakeholders.
Support other regions from time to time in response to business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Own Americas gross margin accounting, including sales adjustments and transport and duty postings.
- Manage intercompany balances, investigate variances, and resolve reconciliation differences.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and address identified issues promptly.
- Prepare and review manual journals and Record to Report information for reporting requirements.
- Partner with commercial teams, Group Finance, and external auditors to resolve queries and coordinate reporting.
- Maintain financial controls and Group policy compliance.
- Improve end-to-end accounting processes using insight and feedback.
Personal Profile
- Studying towards or qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Relevant experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and controls.
- Practical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Confidence working with large data sets, complex Excel models, and Microsoft Office.
- Collaborative communication style, sound judgement, attention to detail, and an improvement-focused mindset.
- Exposure to SAP, BPC, multicurrency accounting, retail, FMCG, or shared services is beneficial.
