Senior Accountant

Overview

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of three Junior Accountants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring an equitable distribution of workload and timely completion of all accounting activities.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for the team.
• Review and approve the work of junior staff, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows)
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Oversee key accounting areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions.
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled accurately and promptly each month.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules and liaising with external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function.
