Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Monitor project budgets, job costing, work in progress (WIP), and project profitability
- Record and reconcile project related expenses, material costs, labor costs, and subcontractor payments
- Review and process subcontractor invoices, supplier payments, and client billing
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements
- Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis
- Ensure timely VAT filing and compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
- Monitor retention balances, advance payments, performance bonds, and project related financial obligations
- Support management with financial analysis and strategic decision making

- Strong background in contracting or construction industry
- Excellent analytical skills
- Hands on experience with construction accounting, project costing, subcontractor payments, and VAT compliance in the UAE
- Experience with full spectrum of accounting operations

Job Overview
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the contracting or construction industry.
