Overview

  • Diatech is looking for a detail oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day to day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with finan

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Lead the month end and year end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and other financial reports
  • Analyse financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and supporting audit activities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance related matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, ERP systems, or similar accounting platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the UAE and familiarity with UAE VAT regulations
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
