This is an opportunity to step into a key role within our Accounts Receivable team, contributing directly to financial performance and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function while supporting month-end financial processes.

You will play a central role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining strong processes, and supporting the wider finance team.

This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, technical accounting expertise, and operational oversight.

Accounts Receivable Oversight

  • Oversee daily AR operations and ensure smooth transaction processing
  • Support and guide the AR team, resolving blockers and maintaining workflow efficiency
  • Ensure accurate data entry and consistent financial records

Month-End & Reporting

  • Lead and support month-end close processes within agreed timelines
  • Perform reconciliations and post necessary adjustments
  • Prepare financial summaries and month-end reporting
  • Assist with VAT return preparation and submission

Systems & Process Management

  • Maintain and manage the Xero accounting system
  • Support improvements in financial processes and system usage
  • Ensure compliance with reporting standards and deadlines

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with internal teams on reporting and financial queries
  • Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Xero (essential)
  • Minimum 10+ years of accounting experience
  • Proven experience managing or supervising a team
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable processes
  • Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication and leadership capability

Preferred Experience

  • CPA qualification (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in fast-paced or scaling environments
  • Exposure to system changes or process improvement initiatives
