Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process across multiple group entities and ensure timely reporting
- Prepare and review management accounts, MIS reports, and consolidated financial reporting packages
- Maintain financial statement workbooks, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules
- Review financial results, identify variances, and ensure compliance with IFRS standards
- Manage the annual external audit process across multiple entities
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Prepare IFRS compliant financial statements and audit schedules
- Strengthen controls and documentation to improve audit efficiency
- Manage and oversee UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance
- Handle KSA ZATCA filings, Zakat requirements, withholding tax obligations, and related regulatory compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi e invoicing requirements and ERP integration processes
- Monitor regulatory developments across the UAE and Saudi Arabia and implement required changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACCA, CA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) preferred
- 4–5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Big 4 audit experience and/or experience within a multinational or international company highly preferred
- Mandatory experience handling Saudi Arabian finance operations, including ZATCA, Zakat, withholding tax, and e invoicing compliance
- Strong understanding of IFRS and multi entity accounting environments
- Experience managing UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements
- Hands on ERP experience, preferably JD Edwards (JDE), Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills

Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant to join our client's finance team in Dubai.
- Reporting to the CFO, this role will oversee financial reporting, audit, taxation, treasury, and compliance across multiple GCC entities.
- Best suited for candidates with Big 4 experience and/or experience working within international organizations in the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process across multiple group entities.
- Prepare and review management accounts, MIS reports, and consolidated financial reporting packages.
- Maintain financial statement workbooks, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules.
- Review financial results, identify variances, and ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
- Manage the annual external audit process across multiple entities.

Revenue, Receivables & Intercompany Accounting
- Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage project based accounting reconciliations including trade receivables, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and intercompany balances.
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations across group companies.
- Monitor receivables ageing and support collection activities.
Accounts Payable & Treasury
- Manage supplier payment processes, bank transfers, and cheque payments.
- Review payment documentation and ensure compliance with approval limits.
- Maintain supplier relationships and resolve payment related queries.
- Support banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and post dated cheque administration.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Administer and optimize ERP systems including JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Develop reporting automation and process improvements.
- Implement SOPs, financial controls, and best practices across the finance function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA, CA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 4–5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Big 4 audit experience and/or experience within a multinational or international company is highly preferred.
