West Group is seeking a Senior Accountant specializing in costing to manage cost accounting, financial reporting, and inventory valuation in Jeddah. The role requires 6+ years of experience, strong cost accounting knowledge, and ERP proficiency.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Perform product costing, job costing, and cost allocation using appropriate costing methodologies
- Analyze direct and indirect costs and identify cost saving opportunities
- Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions
- Prepare and review monthly cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability reports
- Reconcile inventory, cost of sales, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting, with significant experience in cost accounting
- Professional certification such as SOCPA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA is highly preferred
- Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, industrial, or FMCG environments is highly preferred
- Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and costing methodologies (Standard Costing, Job Costing, Process Costing)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

Job Purpose
- To manage and oversee accounting operations with a primary focus on cost accounting, financial reporting, and inventory valuation.
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for analyzing production and operational costs, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting budgeting activities, and providing management with reliable financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Perform product costing, job costing, and cost allocation using appropriate costing methodologies.
- Analyze direct and indirect costs and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions.
- Prepare and review monthly cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability reports.
- Reconcile inventory, cost of sales, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Review and approve accounting entries prepared by junior accountants.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Support month end and year end closing processes.
- Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure cost accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as SOCPA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA is highly preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting, with significant experience in cost accounting.
