Senior Accountant responsible for accounting and bookkeeping activities for the company and its clients.
The role supports financial operations and compliance with UAE regulations.
About the Company
The financial services firm provides accounting, bookkeeping, corporate tax advisory, VAT compliance, company formation, and corporate structuring services in Dubai and the UAE.
Accounting and Tax Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping, including general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax regulations and VAT laws.
- Prepare VAT returns, tax filings, and related documentation under UAE FTA regulations.
- Monitor changes in UAE tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
Reporting and Account Management
- Prepare financial statements, profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and periodic financial reports.
- Monitor client billing, invoicing, collections, receivables, and vendor payments.
- Assist with internal and external audits and maintain compliant financial records.
Systems and Client Support
- Improve accounting procedures and recommend automation or efficiency strategies.
- Use accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or other ERP systems.
- Liaise with clients and provide guidance on corporate tax and VAT planning strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting and tax advisory, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax laws, VAT regulations, and IFRS standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is preferred.
