Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Requirements

• At least three years of accounting experience in the UAE is required.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and tax filing is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is required.
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations is required.
• Experience in inventory management, inventory control, and inventory reconciliation is required.
• Experience in daily sales reconciliation and transaction matching is required.
• The ability to prepare monthly financial reports is required.
• Previous retail or trading industry experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Good written and spoken English is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Reconcile daily sales from retail stores, online channels, and POS systems.
• Verify and reconcile cash, card, bank, and online payment transactions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain inventory records, conduct inventory reconciliations, and assist with stock counts.
• Investigate discrepancies among POS, payment gateways, bank deposits, and accounting records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain VAT documentation and ensure timely tax filing.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE financial regulations.

Compensation

• Full-time position paying AED 3,000 to AED 3,500 per month.

Workplace

• The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Work location is in person.
