Job Summary

Role Details

• Location: UAE.

Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and fixed assets.
• Prepare financial statements and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare trial balances, balance sheet schedules, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded and supported by documentation.

Reconciliations and Controls

• Perform bank, supplier, customer, intercompany, and General Ledger reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies, outstanding balances, and aged items.
• Maintain accounting records and supporting schedules.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.

UAE Tax and Compliance

• Prepare and review UAE VAT calculations and VAT returns in line with Federal Tax Authority requirements.
• Maintain VAT reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Support UAE Corporate Tax calculations, compliance, and filing requirements.
• Monitor changes in UAE tax regulations and assess their business impact.

Audit and Management Reporting

• Coordinate with external and internal auditors and prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
• Respond to audit queries and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Prepare management reports, financial analysis, budget-versus-actual analysis, and variance analysis.
• Monitor expenses, profitability, working capital, and cash flow and provide management recommendations.

Team and Process Management

• Supervise and review junior accountants and provide guidance and training.
• Ensure accounting deadlines and reporting requirements are consistently met.
• Support ERP implementation, automation, and process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience with external audits and statutory compliance.
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.

Preferred UAE Experience

• UAE VAT returns, Corporate Tax compliance, FTA correspondence and audits, closing, and external audit coordination experience are highly preferred.
• Multi-company or group accounting, intercompany reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, ERP implementation, or process automation experience is highly preferred.

Compensation

• Pay: AED 5,500 to AED 6,000 per month.
