About The Role

Business Umbrella is hiring a Senior Account Manager (Education) to grow our education-sector business, achieve sales targets, and proactively seek new sales opportunities while retaining existing business.

The ideal candidate brings an existing network of contacts within the education industry to expand our client and partner base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities and leads.
  • Consistently convert leads into active accounts and grow customer accounts using outbound lead-generation techniques.
  • Execute sales strategies developed with senior management.
  • Execute growth strategies to consistently exceed customer expectations and build partnerships.
  • Achieve set sales and growth margin targets.
  • Be the face of our business in the education market.
  • Build strong partnerships with 3rd party vendors to resell/redistribute our products and services.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Present and deliver product demos for potential customers.
  • Manage contract negotiation and awarding processes with clients.
  • Own the invoicing and collection process with customers.
  • Work with the presales team on proposals to ensure they match customer requirements and budget.
  • Opportunity pricing and creating costing sheets per opportunity.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Practice Heads, Legal, and Sales Coordinators internally.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Customers, Vendors, and Distributors externally.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or relevant degree.
  • Overall experience of 10 years with a minimum of 5 years in sales/business development.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Prior sales experience in the UAE market with strong customer connections.
  • Prior experience acquiring and working with potential partners to expand reach.
  • Strong experience closing deals with large enterprises and governmental clients (B2G).
  • Comfortable holding high-level technical discussions with customers.
  • Basic software engineering background and general technology awareness.
  • Past account management experience exceeding quota and meeting KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.

Additional Skills

  • Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Experience within the enterprise software industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Education business knowledge is a plus.
