About the Role
A regulated capital markets firm in Abu Dhabi seeks a Head of Dealing to lead the dealing desk and ensure best execution and regulatory compliance. The role manages order execution across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and FX, and supervises the dealing team.

Responsibilities
- Lead the dealing desk: manage day to day execution of client and proprietary orders across equities, fixed income, derivatives and FX.
- Act as CMA approved Head of Dealing, ensuring compliance with all CMA rules, market conduct standards and reporting obligations.
- Define, monitor and evidence best execution policy, order handling procedures and fair treatment of clients.
- Supervise, mentor and license the dealing team; maintain competency, cover and succession across the desk.
- Detect and prevent market abuse, insider dealing and manipulation; escalate suspicious activity and maintain surveillance culture.
- Oversee relationships with exchanges (ADX, DFM, Nasdaq Dubai), liquidity providers, custodians and executing brokers.
- Enforce trading limits, error handling and settlement discipline in coordination with Risk, Compliance and Operations.
- Deliver dealing performance, execution quality and incident reporting to senior management and CMA as required.
- Improve OMS/EMS workflows, straight through processing and automation of the dealing lifecycle.
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in dealing, trading or brokerage within a regulated capital markets environment
- 3+ years in a supervisory or desk head capacity
- Eligibility to be registered and approved by UAE Capital Market Authority (CMA) as Head of Dealing
- Deep working knowledge of CMA rules, market conduct regulation and best execution obligations
- Hands on execution expertise across one or more asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX)
- Proven track record supervising a dealing desk and passing regulatory audits
- Strong command of OMS/EMS platforms and exchange connectivity (ADX, DFM, Nasdaq Dubai)
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage
- Recognised industry qualification (e.g. CISI, CFA, ACI Dealing Certificate) or existing CMA approved registration
- Prior GCC dealing desk experience and established regional counterparty network
- Experience implementing trade surveillance and best execution monitoring frameworks

Role Overview
- The Head of Dealing leads the firm's dealing desk and holds regulatory accountability for the dealing function as a CMA approved person.
