Job Responsibilities

  • As a SEND Teacher, you'll work in either the Primary or Secondary School's inclusion zone as part of the SEND Team.
  • You'll teach small groups of students with SEND or barriers for learning to improve their Maths, English (reading, writing and speaking) and Functional Skills.
  • You'll create an engaging learning environment and enable all children to achieve the best outcomes possible.
  • You'll deliver high quality education in line with the UK National Curriculum.
  • The role requires careful monitoring of pupil progress, with timely intervention to ensure excellent learning outcomes and positive behaviour.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • QTS
  • Bachelor of Education (BEd) or PGCE and a relevant degree
  • SEND qualification
  • Successful UK teaching experience at a primary or secondary school
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
  • Strong experience teaching students with SEND
  • Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
