As a SEN Teaching and Learning Adviser , you'll play a key role in improving outcomes for children and young people across Hampshire. Working with schools and other education providers, you'll provide specialist advice, support and challenge to help strengthen teaching and learning, raise standards of achievement, and support the development of effective provision for children and young people with SEND.
You'll play a central role in delivering Hampshire Local Area Partnership's Experts at Hand offer, providing consultancy, training and practical support across a range of educational settings. Through your work with school leaders, teachers and other professionals, you'll help build expertise and workforce capability, supporting sustainable improvements that lead to better outcomes for children and young people across the county.
Work with a wide range of schools and education providers, demonstrating best practice and providing specialist SEND advice and support.
Deliver training, consultancy and professional development to help raise standards of achievement for children and young people with SEND.

Support schools to develop and embed inclusive approaches that improve participation, engagement and outcomes.

Build capacity within schools by helping teachers and other professionals develop their expertise in supporting children and young people with SEND.
Help schools develop a rich, relevant and engaging curriculum that reflects a commitment to personalised and adaptive learning.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant experience leading SEND provision within a school setting.
A strong track record of improving outcomes for children and young people through effective interventions and inclusive practice.
Excellent understanding of the primary and/or secondary curriculum and the characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning.
Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and support improvement across a range of educational settings.
A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with the ability to analyse complex information, make sound judgements and identify effective solutions.
A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people, with a determination to help them reach their full potential.
