Role overview
The Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security is hiring a Security Project Officer for a 12-month contract with possible extension.
The role manages and coordinates security operations and internal security projects from planning through close-out.
The position supports the Corporate Security Office and the Security Project Manager.
Key contributions
- Coordinate day-to-day project management, security operations, design, data analysis, security screenings, and policy development.
- Use advanced analysis techniques to produce action items and perform site inspections to gather relevant data.
- Design and test hardware and software projects.
- Assess, design, and implement technical security solutions.
- Coordinate requirements and priorities with architecture, engineering, security, construction, and procurement subject matter experts.
- Troubleshoot and debug technical systems.
- Manage client requests, clarify needs, make recommendations, and communicate requirements clearly.
Required qualifications
- Post-secondary education focused on engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer science, physics, or optical systems.
