Security I

At an entry level:

• Supports the development of security plans and details security policies.

• Supports implementation and design of security countermeasures to respond in the event of a security breach.

• Supports coordination of security rules and internal access authorization with IT Operations leadership and management.

• Configures and maintains user access and accounts.

• Supports ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures as well as industry-specific regulations.

• Supports evaluation and recommends security and equipment updates as necessary. Prepares and maintains technical documentation.

• Supports periodic risk management audits to ensure company security is updated and as effective as possible.

• May support security policy training and education.

• Researches and supports implementation of latest security threats and methods to counteract security risks.

Sample tasks may include:

• Support Hardware/Software-in-the-Loop and Cloud Computing Architecture development: cloud architectures, cross-domain solutions to move data between classification levels, environment maintenance, and cybersecurity/information assurance support (incl. DoD risk management framework compliance).

• Accomplish ground architecture cybersecurity accreditations on behalf of RVE, including obtaining and maintaining Authorities to Operate (ATOs).
