Security Guard (Part-time)

• Be familiar with, and report to, the AAG Security Department chain-of-command while operating in your security officer capacity.
• Inspect and patrol premises regularly.
• Monitor property entrance(s).
• Authorize entrance of people and vehicles.
• Report any suspicious behaviors or suspicious activities.
• Secure all exits, doors and windows.
• Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner.
• Provide assistance to people in need.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity.
• Submit reports of every suspicious action.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the effective and efficient function of the work unit.
• Provide assistance to other Arizona Athletic Grounds departments when requested.

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of prior Security Guard/Officer experience or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid Arizona drivers license.
• Must have Guard Card or obtain Guard Card within 4 months of hire date.
• Registered as a security officer with the State of Arizona/Department of Public Safety.
• Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Ability to write reports that will be reviewed and approved through the AAG security chain of command.
• Outstanding observation skills.
• Training in First Aid/BLS and self-defense is preferred.
• Critical thinker and possess problem-solving skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Job may require work in adverse weather conditions.
• May require sitting, standing or walking for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule depending on event including late nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
