Position Summary
The intermediate Security Engineer combines security engagement work with hands-on engineering to scale security across the development lifecycle.
The role applies security by design and contributes tooling, automation, and paved-road controls that help engineers ship secure code.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, application and cloud assessments, vendor assessments, and reviews of AI-enabled product features.
- Triage findings, drive remediation, configure security tooling, automate manual reviews, and embed checks into the SDLC.
- Create secure coding training and documentation, maintain security standards, and communicate risk to technical and leadership audiences.
- Support security assurance requests and SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST, HIPAA, and PHIPA control activities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in application or product security, or software engineering with substantial security responsibility.
