Role Overview
The Sea Freight Pricing Supervisor provides specialized expertise in pricing and tender management and supports strategic organizational initiatives.
The role focuses on delivering high-quality results in freight pricing and tender management.
Key Responsibilities
- Source competitive enquiry rates and contractual RFQ rates from local and origin offices.
- Gather volume forecasts with Sales and discuss market conditions, service constraints, and space constraints.
- Coordinate FCL and LCL rate filing with regional trade heads and optimize freight bids.
- Meet with shipping lines and consolidators and negotiate additional space using forecasts and volume commitments.
- Manage the UAE freight check system and create freight comparison matrices for sales offers.
- Set KPIs, report performance, evaluate gaps, and establish improvement plans.
- Develop SOPs and work instructions to improve efficiency and productivity.
