Role Overview
The Control Tower Manager oversees procurement expediting and logistics coordination from purchase order release through final delivery.
The role ensures timely delivery, compliance, operational visibility, and efficient execution, including Hellmann-controlled physical shipments where applicable.
Leadership and Expediting
- Lead and supervise the expediting team, allocating workloads based on purchase order priority and criticality.
- Review daily SAP purchase order reports, assess urgency, and assign work.
- Personally manage critical, high-priority, and time-sensitive orders.
- Monitor team performance and maintain timely purchase order status updates in SAP and reporting tools.
- Maintain full visibility of the purchase order dashboard and provide accurate stakeholder updates.
- Drive continuous improvement, supplier performance reviews, and periodic management reporting.
