Overview

The Cardiac Operating Room is a specialised perioperative unit within the Cardiac Center, operating five cardiac theatres including a hybrid lab.

Procedures Performed

Heart Transplantation
CABG (on pump and off pump)
Valve replacement/repair, aortic aneurysm surgery
Emergency procedures including ECMO initiation
Pediatric open heart surgeries (TOF, Fontan, Glenn, TAPVD, AV canal repairs)
Re explorations (drainage, reconstruction, washouts)
Diagnostic and minor surgical interventions (bronchoscopy, laparoscopy, tracheostomy, gastrostomy)

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
Eligible for registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
Minimum of two years of current clinical nursing experience in Cardiac Theatre as a scrub nurse following licensure/registration in the country of origin
