Job Content

  • Oversee total operations of the store: merchandising, sales, customer service, staff development, and administrative functions to ensure effective functioning and achievement of business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day operations; review sales figures and take proactive initiatives to meet targets.
  • Monitor staff performance regarding customer service; ensure customers are greeted and attended to.
  • Guide, coach and train sales people on customer service disciplines and product knowledge.
  • Resolve customer issues; maintain accurate customer database through Amber Loyalty program.
  • Organize store layout and merchandise goods per brand specifications; use window/visual displays.
  • Verify stock at beginning and end of shift; replenish stocks; conduct stock count twice a year.
  • Identify slow and fast moving items and report to buyers monthly.
  • Supervise staff grooming, conduct, product knowledge and customer service; ensure policy adherence.
  • Identify and resolve IT system errors as required.
  • Guide, coach, and motivate staff; identify training needs; monitor progress.
  • Conduct daily store huddles to keep teams updated with business information.

Education, Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge

  • Graduate in any discipline with tertiary qualifications in sales.
  • 5 to 7 years experience in high end fashion industry preferably involving direct sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English essential; knowledge of other languages including Arabic/Italian advantageous.
  • Pleasant personality and good grooming.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Ability to take ownership of the business.
