Role Overview
Lead SAP Data Migration role focused on data strategy, extraction, cleansing, loading automation, reconciliation, and cutover readiness.
The role covers migration from Oracle EBS R12 to SAP S/4HANA across multiple business entities.
Data Strategy and Governance
- Define migration strategy, data profiling, cleansing, field mapping, and validation protocols.
- Drive data ownership and sign-off with cross-functional business teams.
Extraction and Loading
- Work with Oracle DBAs and developers to extract, profile, and clean legacy Oracle EBS data.
- Lead mock-load and cutover-load cycles using SAP migration and transformation tools.
Reconciliation and Coordination
- Establish automated reconciliation reports for migrated financial, SCM, and HR data.
- Coordinate with the system integrator's data team to validate target schemas and confirm cutover readiness.
Experience and Technical Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in data migration roles.
- Direct hands-on experience migrating Oracle EBS R12 data to SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with Oracle EBS database tables and FIN, SCM, and HCM modules.
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA data structures.
Tools and Working Approach
- Proficiency with SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP BODS, or an equivalent data transformation toolset.
- Highly analytical and methodical, with the ability to work across business teams.
