Role Overview
The Sanitation Shift Leader operates and maintains equipment and supports safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets.
The role cleans and sanitizes production, packaging, warehouse, and facility areas in a manufacturing environment.
Operations and Sanitation
- Operate and maintain equipment using autonomous and progressive maintenance standards.
- Clean and sanitize processing, packaging, warehouse, and production equipment areas.
- Perform overhead cleaning from ladder platforms and sweep and mop facility floors.
- Promote housekeeping, manufacturing practices, and personal hygiene standards.
Health and Safety
- Apply health, safety, and environmental policies and controls throughout the facility.
- Report imminent dangers, hazards, non-conformities, and incidents and participate in HSE programs.
- Wear and distribute personal protective equipment as required.
Food Safety
- Follow plant HACCP and GMP requirements and use tools that meet food safety standards.
- Maintain clean, hazard-free work areas and report food safety and quality issues immediately.
Administration
- Complete sanitation and process records and documentation accurately and on time.
- Train or cross-train others as needed and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in similar positions is required.
- A high school certificate is required; Microsoft Office knowledge is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to work all shifts and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Clear spoken and written English communication is required.
- Previous sanitation experience with GMP, safety, and WHMIS knowledge is desired.
Salary and Benefits
- The expected annualized salary range is $51,850 to $64,813 CAD.
- The role is eligible for a target 5% bonus, with potential shift premiums and overtime.

- The position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires physical, elevated, and shift-based work.
