Role summary
The role is a Salesforce Tech Lead or Salesforce Associate Architect in the Salesforce Practice, focused on Sales Cloud.
The position is a senior individual contributor role with team lead responsibilities and reports to the Salesforce Practice Head or Engagement Delivery Manager.
The role leads solution design and delivery across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, and Agentforce.
Primary Salesforce domains
- Sales Cloud covers lead-to-opportunity lifecycle, forecasting, territory models, CPQ, account and contact hierarchies, and data quality governance.
- Service Cloud covers case management, entitlements, SLAs, Omni-Channel routing, Knowledge, self-service portals, and Field Service Lightning fundamentals.
- Data Cloud covers data streams, DMO design, identity resolution, calculated insights, segmentation, activation, Customer 360, monitoring, retention, and governance.
- Agentforce covers topics, actions, instructions, prompt templates, Data Cloud grounding, RAG patterns, Trust Layer controls, and sales and service use cases.
Additional platform skills
- Marketing Cloud knowledge is desired for Data Cloud connector configuration, engagement event ingestion, Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, consent, and suppression propagation.
- Data architecture and BI integration includes batch ETL, CDC, event streaming, API ingestion, SQL, and Power BI or Tableau connector patterns.
Technical leadership and solution design
- Own architecture across Salesforce workstreams and produce solution design documents, data flow diagrams, and integration design documents.
- Lead, mentor, and review Salesforce engineers and serve as the primary technical escalation point.
- Present architecture decisions and trade-offs to clients, business owners, and enterprise architects.
Platform delivery
- Design and deliver Sales Cloud solutions for lead management, opportunity lifecycle, forecasting, CPQ, and Einstein-assisted productivity.
- Architect Service Cloud solutions for case management, Omni-Channel routing, Knowledge, and self-service portals.
- Govern CRM data quality, duplicate management, and object model integrity.
- Design ingestion pipelines, DMO structures, identity resolution, unified profiles, calculated insights, segments, and activation.
- Build Data Cloud-grounded Agentforce agents and configure Trust Layer guardrails and RAG retrieval strategies.
- Integrate Data Cloud with Power BI or Tableau and establish reconciliation, monitoring, data quality, and retention controls.
Marketing Cloud integration
- Design Marketing Cloud as a Data Cloud source system, including connector configuration, engagement event ingestion, and closed-loop activation into Journey Builder.
Certifications
- Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Data Architect, and Agentforce Specialist certifications are marked essential.
- Salesforce AI Associate, Marketing Cloud Consultant, CRM Analytics and Einstein, and Tableau Desktop Specialist certifications are listed as advantageous.
