Job Title: Sales Officer – Logistics & Shipping

  • We are looking for a motivated and results driven Sales Officer to join our logistics and shipping company.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, acquiring new clients, promoting the company’s logistics and shipping services, and achieving assigned sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential clients who require logistics and shipping services.
  • Promote and sell the company’s freight, transportation, warehousing, and logistics solutions.
  • Generate new sales leads through cold calling, client visits, networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Understand customers’ shipping and logistics requirements and provide suitable service solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and service agreements.
  • Negotiate prices, service terms, and contracts with potential and existing clients.
  • Follow up with prospects and convert sales opportunities into confirmed business.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long term relationships with clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment handling and service delivery.
  • Follow up on shipments and address any commercial issues raised by clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in sales, preferably within the logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, transportation, or courier industry.
  • Good understanding of logistics and shipping services.
  • Strong ability to generate leads, acquire new clients, and close sales deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship building skills.
  • Strong customer service and problem solving abilities.
  • Target oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Good command of English.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car are preferred.

  • Achievement of sales and revenue targets.
  • Number of new clients acquired.
  • Value of logistics and shipping contracts closed.
  • Lead to customer conversion rate.
  • Client retention and account growth.
  • Monthly sales pipeline and forecast accuracy.
