Sales Engineer - Austin

• Manage territory forecasting, CRM documentation, and opportunity tracking to ensure accurate reporting and planning.
• Analyze sales performance metrics and develop action plans to improve territory effectiveness.
• Partner with Application Engineers and other internal experts to support customer technical needs and strengthen long-term relationships.
• Represent Beckhoff at trade shows, customer events, and industry conferences to build visibility and foster engagement.

What We’re Looking For – Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field; or a Business degree with relevant automation industry experience
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a sales or industry-related role preferred
• Demonstrated success in technical solution sales, preferably within industrial automation
• Strong understanding of automation hardware and software
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of a customer organization
• Proven ability to exceed sales targets and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Must be physically located within the Austin territory

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring the Sales Engineer to be on-site at our Austin office for customer meetings, technical support, and team collaboration, while allowing flexibility to work remotely on other days.

This approach ensures strong customer engagement and effective teamwork, balanced with work-life flexibility.

This position requires varying travel ranging from 25-35% which may include day trips, overnight stays, and occasional extended travel depending on business needs.

Travel may be local, regional, or national.
