Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative supports business development through outbound prospecting, lead generation, qualification, and collaboration with the global BDR team.
The role contributes to growth by identifying and qualifying opportunities for Meltwater's services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive outreach, research prospects, and evaluate opportunities.
- Run initial meetings to understand prospect needs and potential solutions.
- Qualify leads before passing them to the Customer Acquisition organization.
- Collaborate with marketing on lead generation strategies and campaign messaging.
- Maintain accurate prospecting data in the CRM system.
- Respond to inbound leads and conduct initial discovery conversations.
- Schedule meetings and demos for the quota-carrying sales team.
- Track lead generation metrics and report improvement opportunities.
- Provide regular updates to the BDR Manager and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven outbound prospecting and lead generation experience.
- Strong communication skills for initial meetings and lead qualification.
- A collaborative, proactive, and organized approach to cross-functional work.
