The Sales Assistant generates sales, supports positive customer experiences, maintains store standards, and performs operational duties assigned by store management.
The position is based in the Toys "R" Us retail operation at Festival Plaza.
What You Will Do
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sparkling store environment.
- Create a positive first impression through an energetic attitude and adherence to the dress code.
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere greeting.
- Provide current and relevant product information to customers.
- Thank customers as they leave and invite them to return.
- Provide fitting-room service, follow up with customers, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to sales.
- Provide cash wrap service, offer gift cards, maintain cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
Required Skills
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for visual and plan designs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Qualifications
- High school degree.
- 1–2 years of retail sales experience.
- Ability to use CAD packages such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, or Photoshop to create visuals and plans.
- Good verbal communication skills, some heavy lifting, and the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
