Role Overview

The Sales Assistant generates sales and delivers a positive customer experience in the store.

The role supports operational duties assigned by store management, including housekeeping and visual presentation standards.

Customer Service

  • Create a positive first impression through an energetic attitude and adherence to the dress code.
  • Greet customers immediately with a smile and sincere greeting.
  • Provide current and relevant product information to customers.
  • Thank customers as they exit and invite them to return.

Sales and Operations

  • Provide quality fitting-room service and follow up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Provide efficient cash-wrap service, offer gift cards, and capture customer information in the database.
  • Attempt to add to the sale during customer interactions.

Store Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment that meets store standards.
  • Maintain cash-wrap cleanliness and the overall store appearance.

Required Skills

  • Good verbal communication skills are required.
  • Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The role requires effective use of CAD tools.
  • The role requires standing for long periods and performing lifting tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school degree.
  • 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD packages such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, or Photoshop to create visuals and plans.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
